Roof of Earth and Water

This was one of my installation at my Elements of Nature Between Sky Scrapers solo show at Art for Thought in Ginza. Made of old green glazed Japanese roof tiles (瓦).  I hand etched and inked each tile with images of koi, toads, and water lilies.

Like all the installations, Roof of Earth and water was designed to be dismantled into individual art pieces that can be displayed at home on the wall or as a freestanding sculpture with custom block and vintage kimono rope turning the time into a free standing sculpture. (see second image for finished look with block and kimono rope)
